Baverstock - Year 11's final lesson at the Physics Factory - Tuesday 18th May 2010

The Physics Factory is awesome! I have learnt so much in the past few months! Thank you!

STUDENT EXIT QUESTIONNAIRE (completed during final Physics Factory lesson)
Number of students = 16

BEFORE PHYSICS FACTORY LESSONS:
2 (13%) students said they wanted to study Physics at A Level

AFTER PHYSICS FACTORY LESSONS:
4 (25%) students now say they intend to study Physics at A Level
2 ‘more’ students now intend to study Physics at A Level (this is a 100% increase)

100% of students rate the quality of teaching and learning as either excellent or good with 88% saying it is excellent

100% of students agree or strongly agree that the Physics Factory does a good job at making Physics lessons fun with 69% saying they strongly agree.

HOW COULD THE PHYSICS FACTORY BE MADE BETTER FOR STUDENTS NEXT YEAR?
‘We need a longer time here’
‘Maybe more computer based activities’
‘Do more experiments outside’
‘More group work and make own notes’
‘Go outside at breaks’

I learnt a lot more here than I would have at school

I think that all the topics were taught well because they were made simple. We did lots of practicals instead of just sitting and listening to the teacher.

He teaches us in a quality way and uses high quality experiments and powerpoints. We also do past paper questions.

It is much better here and it's explained very simply and I always leave feeling I have learned a lot.
