Queensbridge School - Year 11 P3 Gas Laws, IAA support and BTEC Workshops - week commencing 21st March 2011

Over 100 students from Queensbridge School are set to visit both Physics Factories this week for intensive support for their GCSE and BTEC courses.

AS Maths in the Physics Factory - KESH Academy - Friday 18th March 2011

11 AS Maths students from KESH Academy came to the Physics Factory to experience a practical approach to AS Mechanics. They studied velocity-time graphs using data-loggers, resolved forces, predicted and measured forces on an object on an inclined plane and experienced Newton's Laws of motion on a hovercraft!

Hodgehill School - Edexcel P2 Compression Springs IAA - 18th March 2011

22 Year 10 Students from Hodgehill School visited the KESH Academy Physics Factory to complete their P2 IAA, investigating crumple zones and compression springs.

Heartlands Academy - GCSE Waves (OCR P5) and AS Taster Day - 17th March 2011

34 Students from Heartlands Academy visited the KESH Academy Physics Factory on Thursday 17th March for a whole day of GCSE and AS waves-themed Physics fun! They were taught the OCR GCSE waves topics, and got to sample some AS Physics with experiments on light interference and standing waves.
